Amplifying allyship in the ONGOING fight for reproductive FREEDOM.
As part of Creatives for Harris, I created social content for Men4Choice leading up to the 2024 U.S. Presidential election. Given the ongoing repercussions of Roe v. Wade being overturned, it was important to show women they weren't alone in fighting for their bodily autonomy. It was also the right time to educate the general public on just what was at stake in the election, and show men positive examples of how to fight for women's healthcare.
After familiarizing myself with Men4Choice's brand guidelines, I got to work creating motion graphics, standalone social graphics, and Instagram carousels covering personal stories, current events, and key values related to abortion, the right to privacy, and family planning:
Communicating directly with Men4Choice's top-level leadership, my colleagues Jesse Denney, Alexa Schummer and I created some of their top performing posts, one of which brought a 3600% increase from Men4Choice's average post engagement.
It was also through Men4Choice and MYA Network that I finally saw photos of what a pregnancy looks like before 10-weeks. That prompted me create my own personal project - displaying those photos next to portraits of women, a stark contrast between what anti-choice extremists call a person vs. an actual person.
Women should not be forced to die for a 1-inch bit of tissue. And a woman's right to have control over her own body will always be worth fighting for.
"Can you imagine what that's like - to be seen only for the life you could make, not the life you already possess?"
